Food for thought within the innovation week on the topic of scrap reduction
We, Smithers-Oasis, have set ourselves the goal of continuously reducing scrap in our foam production. For this reason, we held an Innovation Week in April 2018, during which employees from various departments of the company worked intensively on ideas for possible solutions on a daily basis.
In the course of this innovation week, a list of more than 20 forward-looking ideas for reducing foam waste emerged. To ensure that the ideas are implemented, the group meets one afternoon every two weeks to exchange information on the progress made so far.
The strong innovative spirit of Smithers-Oasis became clear through the great commitment of the participants. The participants are therefore to be commended for their great teamwork, during which many valuable ideas were developed!
